Sam became a part of the Eagles Peak family in August of 2014. She received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Veterinary Medical Technology with a biology minor from Wilson College, and she is currently working toward obtaining her state certification. While she enjoys working with all animals, she has a special place in her heart for dogs, especially of the sporting variety. Though she has no furry family to call her own [yet], she has fond memories of her German Shorthaired Pointer, Kasey, and she always makes sure to give her friends’ pets extra love and attention. Sam is also an advocate for our local flying creatures of the night, earning the nickname of “Batgirl” for her love of bats and participating in bat conservation efforts whenever possible. In her free time she participates in WWII Living History Events as a civilian reenactor to keep the memories of the “greatest generation” alive. Her hobbies include any and all outdoor activities, writing suspense fiction, reading Preston & Child’s latest Pendergast novels, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, and going on new adventures with her boyfriend, friends, and family.
